My name is Paulina Podolczak and I have worked for Autism Wessex for 10 years. I started my story with Portfield School after graduating from University in Poznan (my home city in Poland).
I have completed a 5 year degree course in Special Needs Education. I have worked as a volunteer in SEN provisions since I was 16 and, also supporting two family members with learning difficulties for most of my life, I always kind of knew that’s what I want to do.
Giving young people opportunities and tools to explore and learn.
In my private life, my big passion is Latin dance, reading, music and traveling.

Michelle Wright

Teacher/Post 16 Lead

My name is Michelle Harvey and I have worked at Autism Wessex for 14 years. I studied through Greenwich University for my degree with Honours in Health and Social Care and for my PGCE.
I am a Senior Teacher that leads the key stage 5/post 16 department that is based in Christchurch.

Mrs Anita Russon

My name is Anita Russon,
I live in Dorset with my husband and teenage son.
I have been for working for Autism Wessex for the last 5 years.
I hold two degrees : “Tourism and Modern Languages” and “Special Education - Autism”- Birmingham University.
I also hold translator and interpreter qualification –PGC City University London.

In my spare time I practice yoga, go walking and lately started to keep bees.
I love travelling, spending time with my family. I am also interested in interior design and up cycling

Mr Roland Martin

My name is Roland Martin and I have worked at Portfield School since September 2017. Previously to this I have taught in several countries around the world. I love working with the children at Portfield because of the variety of challenges and successes we encounter together every day.
I studied at the University of Warwick for a Degree in English Literature, and a PGCE at the University of Wolverhampton.

I have one young child and live in Bournemouth. If I have any spare time I tend to spend it reading, walking, socialising or watching films.

I studied for a BA Honours Degree in Art and Design with Education at the University of Winchester and gained a 2:1 honours.
I am currently working in Life Skills which is Key Stage 5/post 16 unit.
